Richter 5.0 2011/10/22 09:38:42 UTC at -28.853 (South); -175.326 (West) and at a depth of 9.9 kilometers. This is TOO WEAK to be a classical aftershock. According to traditional theories the major aftershock should have been about a 5.8

Richter 5.0 2011/20/24 17:34:59; -31.788 (latitude); -179.130 (longitude); and 99.3 kilometers deep. Too far away and too deep to cluster as an aftershock.
